JMD1360 diesel locomotive is specifically developed and manufactured by CSR Qishuyan Locomotive Co., Ltd. for both passenger and freight transportation on Vietnam railways. The locomotive is equipped with 3508B diesel engine from Caterpillar, JF205F synchronous main alternator and ZQDR-410 traction motor; AC-DC electric transmission technology is utilized;The three-axle bogie is designed on DF8B bogie basis; and the car body is of outside corridor and load supporting platform.
Performance and characteristics: The locomotive adopts new technologies such as microcomputer control system, brake units and etc., with dynamic brake device having full-power self-load testing function.
